Senior liquor industry expert Julian Davidson will be joining the TSI board as an Independent Non-Executive Director.
His appointment will be formalised pending the issuing of an Australia director ID.
Julian has deep financial capability, business leadership skills, capital markets experience, and a history of governance of small private companies through to listed Australian and US companies. He has worked with large corporations, private equity ventures, and startups.
Julian has more than 30 years’ experience in leadership roles in Australia, New Zealand and North America.
A Chartered Accountant, Julian started his career at Deloitte in New Zealand before moving to Lion where he spent 15 years, holding senior CFO roles with Swan Brewery, Pepsi-Cola Bottlers and Lion Australia, as well as Managing Director/CEO roles with Tooheys Brewery, and ultimately Lion in New Zealand.
Following a period of personal investment in the New Zealand hospitality industry, Julian worked with Pacific Equity Partners in the purchase of Independent Liquor. Following PEP’s acquisition, Julian joined Independent Liquor, initially in a Group CFO role, then taking on CEO roles covering New Zealand, America and Canada.
Following Independent Liquor ‘s acquisition by Asahi, Julian stayed with the company for a further 3years. Seeking continued and greater exposure to the US market, Julian joined Long Island Iced Tea Corporation – leading a successful capital raise and uplisting of the company to the Nasdaq.
Julian now resides in New Zealand where he is the Chairman of Behemoth Brewing Company and consults to multiple small to medium sized businesses, focussing on transformational growth, leadership, and funding.
He has a PMD from Harvard Business School and is a 30+ year member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
